You will also have the option of publishing a Portfolio, or resume, while omitting all of your contact information. (For more information see Experience's Privacy Policy).

You will need to contact an Administrator directly as they manage this process.
You can update your communication preferences to select to receive emails and/or newsletters from Experience and our partners. From your home page, click Sign up for Newsletters (under 'Improve Your Experience') on the left-hand side of your profile. This is where you can view and edit the mailing lists you are on.

For relevant tools and content that caters to every stage of your career, hover over the 'Guidance' tab in the navigation bar at the top of your screen - you will see links to channels of industry-specific information and links to more general career resources on topics like managing the work-life balance. Your Portfolio is a unique way to document, demonstrate and track your career development. It enables you to provide employers and other mentors in your network with a complete picture of who you are beyond the limitations of a traditional resume and cover letter. The key components of your Portfolio consist of a profile, resume, experiences and references. Building out these components will allow you to:
View a Portfolio sample for a sneak peak or watch a quick Portfolio demo to learn more.
Feeling ambitious? Get started by clicking on the 'Portfolio' tab in the navigation bar at the top of your screen, and select the Build My Portfolio button.
From your home page, click Get Tips on Resume Writing (under 'Improve Your Experience'). This resume section has valuable tips to help you determine what to include, how to present yourself, and some basic "do's and don'ts".
From your home page, click Create Job Search Agents (under Improve Your Experience) - on the right hand side of this page you will see helpful tricks and tips to make the best of your job searching.
You will need to create a 'job search agent'- this is the easiest way to get an immediate notification of a new career opportunity you are looking for! It lets us do the work for you. First, you need to create a saved search - after you have filled out your desired job criteria using the Quick search or Advanced search "Find a Job" form on your home page, click the "save search" link in the top left corner of your search results page. Naming this search and then clicking 'save' will create an automatic notification email for you when a new job that meets your criteria is posted to the Network.
NOTE: the email address that is represented in your account profile is the email address the job search agents will be sent to.
From your home page, you can quickly create, edit or delete saved job search agents by clicking on Create Job Search Agents (under Improve Your Experience). Next, click on View My Saved Job Searches in the 'Job Search Tool' box. From there you will be able to see a list of your job searches by name, view the results, make any necessary changes to the job filters or criteria by clicking "edit", or simply remove the agent by clicking "delete".
To find out about unique opportunities available to Experience members, click on Build Your Experience (under 'Improve Your Experience' on your home page). This is where you will find information and success stories on Exclusive Experiences:
Exclusive Experiences are resume-building opportunities that provide students and alumni with an up-close look at specific careers and industries and consist of two types of opportunities: Defining Moments and Job Shadows.
We offer Experience Connections™ and Experience Mentors™, which are both professional networking services that help job-seekers like you develop relationships to support career exploration and development. These services allow you to voluntarily connect with hiring alumni and employers, and even professors at your own school.
You can easily opt-in to Experience Connections by hovering over the 'Networking' tab in the navigation bar at the top of your screen and then selecting "Connections". From there, you can add your experiences to your account, upload a photo, and state specifically how others can help you and vice versa. Connections profiles are visible to all members of the network who have Connections profiles, which includes thousands of students, alumni, employers and university staff.
Having or becoming a Mentor can offer a truly rewarding experience with lifelong benefits. Experience provides a great tool to connect job seekers with mentors from their community. Check with your school's career center, alumni association or honor society to find out if they're using Experience Mentors and how you can participate. (This program would also be accessible to you within your existing account under the 'Networking' tab).
Experience powers a number of online, employer-sponsored talent communities that connect college students and young alumni with similar academic and vocational backgrounds to job and internship positions, career guidance, and other career resources. These communities help job-seekers like you learn more about the kind of industry and work you may be striving towards one day. Start networking within these communities now, and stumble across the job of your dreams!
Join by going directly to the Talent Community site/s of your choice and login with your Experience username and password:
We also power a community called Experience Green - this community brings together students and recent grads to get connected with green companies, jobs and internships, and to learn simple but powerful ways to help the environment. Have your voice be heard - visit Experience Green and sign up to make a difference.
Yes - but you can create this employer view through your candidate home page. This will allow you to log directly into the employer side of your account with your existing candidate login credentials. (In other words, you do not need to create a new username and password).
To create this employer view, click on the Go to Employer Account in the top right of the toolbar (right above Logout). Once you have filled out the required information, you will have access to your new employer account. You will see that you can easily toggle back to your candidate account by clicking on the Go to Candidate Account link in the same section of the toolbar.
If you no longer wish to be an active member of the Experience Network, you can simply modify a few settings within your account. We want you to know that this account is free of charge and available to you for life - this is one of the great benefits to becoming a member of our site and is also the reason it is unnecessary to cancel or delete.
If you accidentally created a duplicate account, follow the quick steps below for the account you do not wish to keep, and add the word "inactive" in front of your username and email address. (Refer to first question above on how to update your profile information).
Follow these 2 quick steps to adjust your account settings:
Step 1: Opt-out of all Experience emails.
Step 2: Unpublish your resume/s so you are no longer searchable by employers.
Good luck in all your future endeavors, and we look forward to your return!
